He probably did react a little bit out of anger, but it would be hard to say he wasn't provoked. Thanks for all the compliments, I'm pleased you enjoyed the story, and I have to agree, this story grabbed me even before I figured out how to work a spanking scene into it.

JC, Thank you. I really enjoy making the characters come alive by digging into them and figuring out what makes them tick. I'm thrilled how well it seems to have come through in this story.

Paul, Thanks. I agree with you about the Dad, but I can see how François arrived at his opinion.

Hugs,
AshAshley Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14242036743645170042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518647266576010083.post-17954336561962129772010-05-28T11:22:27.747-07:002010-05-28T11:22:27.747-07:00Ash, brilliant, I agree with François, except tha...Ash, brilliant, I agree with François, except that I think dad handled it just right.
Her punishment wasn't extreme and she learned the required lesson.
Well crafted, not a word out of place, well done.
Warm hugs,
Paul.Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03790580459962602757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518647266576010083.post-17067198170925925602010-05-28T09:32:10.954-07:002010-05-28T09:32:10.954-07:00I agree with what François said. I always enjoy your writing, but when your characters' emotional lives, their inner turbulence, come into focus, it's gripping.

JCAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518647266576010083.post-35472066182995064752010-05-28T08:32:09.465-07:002010-05-28T08:32:09.465-07:00Dad is overly strict, methinks, but you did a rema...Dad is overly strict, methinks, but you did a remarkable job at setting the moral and psychological positions of both characters. It’s deep, it’s tightly argumented, to the point that the spanking became irrelevant to the interest I took in reading this post. You are gaining not only in writing skills, but in maturity every month.

Thank you, Ashley
FrançoisFrançoisnoreply@blogger.com
